EOTD (Eye Of The Day) Green Smokey

Hi all!! Here is a EOTD I created this past Sunday when I went for dinner at my Parents with my son Noah. I wanted to try out some of my new goodies (check out my 2 part haul that I am in the process of uploading on YouTube. My channel is
What I used:
UDPP (Urban Decay Primer Potion) all over lid from inner corner to brow bone
Quo Cream Shimmer Liner in Sweet Caroline on the lid (shimmery dark green)
NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Cottage Cheese on the inner corner (shimmery white)
MAC Brule as a highlight (satin beige/skin tone)
Urban Decay Misdemeanor (from the UD BOS Vol 2) all over the Quo base (peacock green)
MAC White Rabbit (from Sorceress Eye Palette/Holiday 2009) on the inner corner (frosty white)
MAC Hold My Gaze (from Sorceress Eye Palette/Holiday 2009) used to blend out the crease and between inner corner and lid shade (light grey/green, very unique!)
L'Oreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense to line the upper lash line (very black)
Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara Waterproof (black)
This is a really sultry look. Would be great for a night out!

I ran out to MAC early this morning to return my Studio Sculpt Foundation (I'm NW15). I had bought this back in Aug w/some of my Birthday money. I only used it a handful of times cause I honestly found that it didn't cover well and was sooo heavy on, almost mask like and I am very light handed with foundations. Anyways I exchanged it for Ricepaper eyeshadow and Bare Study paint pot. I've been on a search for a nice highlight shade, which Ricepaper is, however I still find it to be a touch frostier than I want for everyday so I think I may pick up Brule next time I am at MAC. So far I like the paint pot, its a nice shimmery champagne shade.
I'm making a trek out to Sephora tomorrow to pick up these babies. They are holding one of the UD 24/7 Super Stash for me, and if they have the Smashbox Wish for a perfect pout in stock I want this as well. Its got 2 really pretty full sized glosses and 4 mini's. I have a mini of the pink (pout) and I LOVE it, its the perfect barbie pink. I've been lusting over the Super Stash for the past month and half, its finally available in store (I have called them every week for the past month and a half, lol). I've heard alot of ppl commenting that these are super small (half the size of the full size), I'm ok with that tho, I have the travel set from last year and I think I only sharpened them once or twice since so these will still last a good while for me. Reviews to come soon:)

So I was shopping through my collection today and I realized I have ALOT of shades that are very similar to MAC's Club. Club was one of my MAC shades that I wanted for a long time, but always put off buying until it came out with the Sugarsweet collection which is when I finally decided to get it and shocker they were sold out:( So I got it a few weeks later when it came into stock and then realized I already had one shade similar and since then have gotten 3 more that also closely resemble it.

From L to R: MAC's Club, L'Oreal HIP Loose Pigment in Intrepid #914, Kat Von D Gypsy Palette shade Stryker (second from the top), Too Faced The New Romantic Collection (top right shade, name not listed) and Stila Loves Barbie All Doll'd Up Palette (middle shade of the circle bottom left)
*** Same order in both pics ***

IMO the L'Oreal HIP pigment is the closest dupes, I actually like it more, but any of these really do achieve the same look. All of these shades look great with other brown or greens even blues. For those that don't know about MAC's Club its a duochrome that is a reddish-brown-green. A shade I used to consider unique, lol not so much anymore.

Happy Thanksgiving Y'all. My family celebrated yesterday, we had a delicious turkey dinner with all the fixings and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. This Thanksgiving was extra special as it is my nearly 4 month old son Noah's very first holiday: ) Unfortunately he was rather cranky all day yesterday. I just want to say I am very thankful for my family & friends.
PS. It's sooo cold here today, feels like it could start snowing anytime:( Boo

So I'm very excited to be writing my first ever blog post. I follow soooo many different blogs and get so much enjoyment from reading what others have to say and personal options on an assortment of different subjects, but my main interest is beauty related. I also have a youtube channel which I sadly haven't uploaded to in far to long:( I've yet to figure out how to edit videos and my computer takes a dogs age to upload. I do plan on getting back to that at some point. For anyone interested the address is
So on to this post, my Sept 09 fav's.
Urban Decay Book of Shadows Volume 2: This is to die for!!! I ordered mine off of since it's not, or wasn't at the time available in the stores yet. I paid for the express shipping and it took 8 days to arrive via Canada Post door delivery. I saw this was coming out back in Aug on one of my fave blogs and I immediately became obsessed with it. I had to have it!! I have Vol 1 and adore it as well. Since doesn't ship to Canada I had to wait for Sephora to get it. I called my closest store every fri (shipment day) to see if they had it yet, and when I finally saw it online I ordered it that very second, lol. Anyways it's amazing!! 16 silky smooth eyeshadow, 2 travel sized 24/7 liners and a mini UDPP (urban decay primer potion). I've been using this kit nearly everyday. I've now used pretty much every shade. My fav so far are Sellout (shimmery champagne), Ecstasy (purple w/pink glow) and Jinx (bright blue). There is truly endless combinations in here.
Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Powder Gel: This product is intended to be used to help protect against chafing skin, I however use mine as a face primer and it works awesome. I prefer it over my Smashbox primer any day. I'm not going to go into much detail on this, as there is many review and videos on youtube about it.
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation & Powder: These are both great products. My foundation shade is light 3 and my powder is light 4-5. I use these manly in the summer or when its warmer cause they minimize shine and keep my face matte all day. I don't use the foundation much in the winter tho because I do get very dry skin and it seems to only emphasize that. If you always have oilier skin I would recommend trying these.
Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel: I use this as a toner/astringent in the morn/evening after I wash my face. It has kept my breakouts at bay and makes me skin feel really silky smooth, not at all dry. I watched a video on youtube from and she gave some great tips and recommendations.
Annabelle Duo Blush in Joue Bijou: I've had this for at least 3 years but find myself using it alot, its a beautiful lilac pink/light shimmery pink (more of a highlighter). Look great on my fair skin
CG (Cover Girl) Smoothers Concealer: I use both light & illuminator. These are super creamy and work wonderful at covering dark circles, redness and pimples. I use both under my eyes for a nice wide open look
L'Oreal Lineur Intense Carbon Black: This has been my HG (holy grail) liquid liner for the past couple years. I use it basically everyday, it lasts all day and never flakes off.
Mascaras-L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black, Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express (waterproof) & CG Lash Blast (waterproof): The Colossal and Lash Blast are 2 of my absolute fav's. I usually only wear waterproof since its the only type I have found that can hold my curl, but I picked up Telescopic on a whim and hated it at first. It does absolutely nothing in terms of volume, or length really, but when I wear it with the other 2 I really liked it.
Cover Girl Tru-Shine Lipcolour in #400 Powderpink Shine: This is a beautiful shimmery light pink. It goes on creamy and has decent staying power. Looks great with a smokey eye
