SEPTEMBER FAVOURITES

So I'm very excited to be writing my first ever blog post. I follow soooo many different blogs and get so much enjoyment from reading what others have to say and personal options on an assortment of different subjects, but my main interest is beauty related. I also have a youtube channel which I sadly haven't uploaded to in far to long:( I've yet to figure out how to edit videos and my computer takes a dogs age to upload. I do plan on getting back to that at some point. For anyone interested the address is www.youtube.com/prettykitty0882
So on to this post, my Sept 09 fav's.
Urban Decay Book of Shadows Volume 2: This is to die for!!! I ordered mine off of www.sephora.com since it's not, or wasn't at the time available in the stores yet. I paid for the express shipping and it took 8 days to arrive via Canada Post door delivery. I saw this was coming out back in Aug on one of my fave blogs www.kraseybeauty.com and I immediately became obsessed with it. I had to have it!! I have Vol 1 and adore it as well. Since www.urbandecay.com doesn't ship to Canada I had to wait for Sephora to get it. I called my closest store every fri (shipment day) to see if they had it yet, and when I finally saw it online I ordered it that very second, lol. Anyways it's amazing!! 16 silky smooth eyeshadow, 2 travel sized 24/7 liners and a mini UDPP (urban decay primer potion). I've been using this kit nearly everyday. I've now used pretty much every shade. My fav so far are Sellout (shimmery champagne), Ecstasy (purple w/pink glow) and Jinx (bright blue). There is truly endless combinations in here.
Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Powder Gel: This product is intended to be used to help protect against chafing skin, I however use mine as a face primer and it works awesome. I prefer it over my Smashbox primer any day. I'm not going to go into much detail on this, as there is many review and videos on youtube about it.
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation & Powder: These are both great products. My foundation shade is light 3 and my powder is light 4-5. I use these manly in the summer or when its warmer cause they minimize shine and keep my face matte all day. I don't use the foundation much in the winter tho because I do get very dry skin and it seems to only emphasize that. If you always have oilier skin I would recommend trying these.
Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel: I use this as a toner/astringent in the morn/evening after I wash my face. It has kept my breakouts at bay and makes me skin feel really silky smooth, not at all dry. I watched a video on youtube from www.youtube.com/sayanythingbrOOke and she gave some great tips and recommendations.
Annabelle Duo Blush in Joue Bijou: I've had this for at least 3 years but find myself using it alot, its a beautiful lilac pink/light shimmery pink (more of a highlighter). Look great on my fair skin
CG (Cover Girl) Smoothers Concealer: I use both light & illuminator. These are super creamy and work wonderful at covering dark circles, redness and pimples. I use both under my eyes for a nice wide open look
L'Oreal Lineur Intense Carbon Black: This has been my HG (holy grail) liquid liner for the past couple years. I use it basically everyday, it lasts all day and never flakes off.
Mascaras-L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black, Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express (waterproof) & CG Lash Blast (waterproof): The Colossal and Lash Blast are 2 of my absolute fav's. I usually only wear waterproof since its the only type I have found that can hold my curl, but I picked up Telescopic on a whim and hated it at first. It does absolutely nothing in terms of volume, or length really, but when I wear it with the other 2 I really liked it.
Cover Girl Tru-Shine Lipcolour in #400 Powderpink Shine: This is a beautiful shimmery light pink. It goes on creamy and has decent staying power. Looks great with a smokey eye
